2004 - Our First Expedition
Ashton Park School went to Kenya in 2004 for our first 3 week expedition, this followed 18 months of planning and preparation. During that time:
• 17 students and 2 teachers went on the expedition in July 2004
• We painted murals in 2 classrooms and built a playground
• The team raised £3500 to pay for all of the materials needed
• Inspirations had 48 pupils working in 2 classrooms
• This was the first time Inspirations School had visitors from the UK
• The Maji Safi Project (Bristol Charity) founded the school in 2002 as a nursery school
